If you did not attend the Issues Session at the 2007 Annual
Meeting, please read the minutes to familize yourself with the
multiple choice exam model proposed by the Certification Development
Committee.

type of a review based Certification program that may work for
AIC.
Results from the October 2007 survey showed that AIC members
were concerned about the association taking
on financial losses to support a certification program. The
general consensus expressed was that any certification program
started by AIC should have the potential to be self-supporting.
The cost differences between the multiple choice and review
based exam models are illustrated in the sample draft budgets
for both models.
For easier comparison in the budgets, we have priced the exam
at what it would need to break even. If
you click on the links below you will see that the multiple
choice model would need to be priced at $650 per exam and the
review based model at $350. Please understand that these are
draft budgets reflecting today’s costs.
