The Emergency Preparedness Response, And Recovery Committee is
charged to further develop and increase the awareness of emergency
preparedness, response, and recovery techniques for cultural
heritage by:
- Contributing to the development of
educational and technical
information through contributions to the AIC Newsletter, Journal,
and web site
- Arranging and promoting lectures,
workshops, and other
appropriate activities relating to emergency and disaster issues
for cultural property
- Establishing priorities among the needs
related to emergency
issue which may involve the use of statistically valid surveys of
the AIC membership and/or cultural institutions and organizations

Partnering with other AIC Committees and with Specialty Groups for
the AIC to more effectively provide technical and educational tools
and training to the membership
- Developing programs or publications in
conjunction with other
organizations and the AIC Board
