FAIC
The Foundation of the American Institute for Conservation (FAIC) was incorporated as a 501 (c)(3) organization in 1972 to solicit, receive and maintain funds in order to support the charitable, scientific and educational activities of the AIC and the field of conservation. The primary goals of FAIC focus on providing funds for educational and professional development opportunities to improve the knowledge and skills of conservators, who are responsible for the care of cultural material, and on raising the general awareness of conservation through public outreach programs and activities. The Foundation gives grants and scholarships, makes awards, sponsors educational seminars and workshops, and publishes materials on conservation. FAIC has received funds from foundations and corporations as well as government programs such as the NEH and NEA. Donations to FAIC are tax deductible up to the extent the law allows. News
