Over a number of years the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works re-examined its Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. a process which led to the development of the current version. As part of this process the Ethics and Standards Committee prepared series of Supplements to the AIC Newsletter discussing the role of the COE/SOP and examining the codes of other organizations.
