Podcasting in Architectural Conservation
Podcasting promotes the exchange of knowledge through the free and public exchange of audio or video recordings. The American Institute for Architects has begun a podcasting series, and a some of episodes discuss issues related to historic preservation or architectural conservation. Although the ASG does not specifically promote or endorse the ideas presented in these podcasts, a few of the members might be interested in the subject. Sustaining the Value of Historic Resources - Currency
Historic rehabilitation projects are measured increasingly against the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System. The LEED system, however, was conceived for new construction projects and does not adequately address the issues of historic building rehabilitation.
