1996-97
We have 965 Book and Paper Group members, some 100 more than last year at this time. Our $5.00 dues reduction went into effect in December, as you are all aware. After your vote in Norfolk, followed by a mail referendum, we successfully transferred $10,000 of BPG money into the Carolyn Horton fund. We continue to support the Stout award as well, contributing $500 each year to that fund.
In August of 1996, AIC's accounting system moved from a cash basis to an accrual system. What this means is that our projected figures for 1997 look different than the actual figures, particularly in the revenue column. Also, we have had two mailings since last year's Annual Meeting, and we have not been invoiced for either one. This means we have an extra $6,000. (2nd quarter statement is included with this mailing. )
